Ferrier Builders, Inc., building custom homes as Ferrier Custom Homes, has been building energy-efficient homes since 1984. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, Ferrier Custom Homes builds High Performance homes primarily in the Fort Worth/Dallas area. 

Ferrier Builders, has been recognized by the National Association of Home Builders' Research Laboratory and the Department of Energy as a leader in energy-efficient construction. As a 2006 Silver winner of the Energy Value Housing Award (EVHA) and a 2005 winner of the EVHA in the custom home/hot climate category, Ferrier Builders has demonstrated a commitment to building energy efficient homes.

Ferrier Builders, Inc. (FBI) has been accepted as a Building Science consortium member under the Dept. of Energy’s Building America Program and supported by National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) to construct Heather’s Home.  As a Consortium member, FBI’s Heather’s Home will be a prototype for building methods and continued monitoring and research.
